Swimwear & Underwear Garment Technologist – High Street

Create have teamed up with a High Street fashion brand in the UK.
They are currently looking for a Swimwear & Underwear Garment Technologist to join their Pattern Team.
This role will report into the Head of Womens Pattern and is offered on a Part Time – 3 Month Fixed Term Contract.
Tuesday – Thursday
As the Swim & Underwear Technologist you will ensure that these products satisfy our high expectations according to requirements.
In this role you accompany and develop the product from the sketch to production, including fitting and construction according to quality, production procedures and value drivers.
What you will do:
Responsible to develop our ladies Swim and Underwear products, bringing a technical perspective to the buying office Accessories teams.
Responsible for securing fit, function, shape, size, quality and construction according to Design and Buying handover, through product development to sealed sample.
Responsible for measurement specification development and maintenance.
Work closely with departments such as Production Office, Design & Buying and Customer Insights providing relevant information and feedback to increase quality
Driving fit and construction changes, updating sample comments and feedback, checking measurements, construction, finishings, materials, and suitability for production according to requirements.
Responsible for translating design into Technical Package, ensuring it is production friendly.
Provide technical support regarding materials and sustainability topics during product development by checking development samples construction and fitting
Take decisions, follow-up and approve products during construction and fitting
Work with M-lists to ensure measurements are accurate, correct grading and secure all relevant information is present for new periods within OPD deadlines
Employ a solution-orientated mindset to develop ways of improvement and discover new options, handle objections in a professional way having the customer in mind
Swim and UW garment constructions and fitting experience
Experience creating fit blocks.
Luxury quality experience beneficial
Clear communicator, able to communicate to PO & Suppliers to achieve desired results.
Problem solving fit/fabric/trim challenges
Strong background in global garment manufacturing
