My client is an exciting luxury men’s and women’s wear fashion brand who specialise in creating youthful, comfortable and elegant collections. They have seen explosive growth since they set up 2 years ago and are currently recruiting for a Print Designer.
Their prints play an integral part of their branding and style. They are looking for a candidate who matches the fit for their creative taste – luxury fashion with vintage references. As an inhouse Print Designer, you will be working within a highly creative design team focusing on new and innovative prints.
The role is hands-on requiring excellent technical skills and a sharp eye on trends and newness. If you love fashion print and graphics design, researching the latest trends and want to be part of an expanding luxury fashion forward design team this could be the opportunity for you.
The role will initially start as a freelance opportunity, however depending on fit they will consider a permanent contract.
You will have a strong ability to identify key print trends and creatively put the brands spin on the designs.
Researching from a wide range of sources and designing the print, digitally and by hand.
Creating both graded and repeated prints
Offering print newness to the design teams, demonstrating excellent originality within the brand handwriting.
You’ll also have a good knowledge and understanding of working with print studios and print mills, along with excellent colour and fabric knowledge
Reacting to sales information you will be responsible for designing commercially relevant prints, updating best sellers and ensuring newness throughout each collection
You should be organised and focused, adhering to the critical path to meet deadlines, ensuring product is developed within the relevant time frame
Able to build relations with factories and mills, advising on any necessary direction or print techniques
Computer Skills: Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD
Previous experience in designing for a luxury fashion brand
Previous experience working across all print categories – digital, hand work, repeat prints, print grading
Fashion forward-thinking and directional trend print eye
Manages themselves in a professional manner at all times and keeps all information belonging to the company confidential
Brilliant time management and resilience
Ability to communicate confidently, effectively and appropriately with colleagues and external contacts
