Create are currently working with a leading luxury womenswear designer based in East London, who require a Gerber Pattern Cutter join them for a 12m maternity cover. This client works on RTW, VIP, fashion week collections and bridal.

A studio based role with daily communication with internal departments; Design, Atelier, Product Development and Production. To achieve Creative Director’s vision through pattern creation. Reporting into Pattern Cutting and Technical manager.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working closely with designers to create patterns and prototypes
• Support Design in the development of product maintaining required aesthetic integrity
• Attendance of development and SMS fitting
• Involvement in seeking resolutions to fit issues alongside technical team when required during the fittings
• Finalise pattern on GERBER system for SMS launch
• Create layplan using GERBER marker making module at send out stage
• Accurate measurement of pattern for send out
• Involvement of bespoke project – pattern creation to fitting with clients
• Support Pattern Cutting and Technical manager in pre-show fitting and communication with Technical team and Atelier.
• Working closely with production department to resolve any pattern queries during the production process

Requirements:

 Degree level or similar

• 5+ years of experience as a pattern cutter
• 2+ years of experience of GERBER software V10
• Strong knowledge of pattern cutting, alteration and fit
• Experience of marker making and grading would be an advantage
• MS office skills
• Attention to detail and good sketch interpretation skills
• Team player and ability to work alone
• Good communication skills
• Organised, efficient and schedule focused
