Create have teamed up with a Luxury women’s ready-to-wear fashion designer whose famous for creating striking brocade cocktail dresses and floor-sweeping lace gowns in vivacious prints and fine fabrics. They are in need of a Freelance Senior Women’s RTW Designer to join their London based team. This is a great opportunity for a real creative to work alongside a hugely successful Design Manager and the design team throughout all areas of the design process, initial research, design development and handovers to production. Reporting to the Design Manager. attitude.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

·Overseeing design projects from conception to delivery.

·Working with Creative Director and design team, designing into all range plan categories such as flou, tailoring and separates.

·An ability to work in 3D is important, draping on stand and presenting clear silhouette ideas, incorporating trims and finishes to Creative Director.

·Collaborating and working closely with the Pattern Cutters to achieve new silhouettes.

·Handing over design allocations to Product Development and Technical teams- considering finishes, linings, etc. in order to realise considered and beautiful garments.

·Attending weekly Design fittings, ensuring all style changes are updated and relayed to relevant teams. Working with design and technical team to fit and resolve garments.

·Strong involvement during show time, supporting Creative Director and Design Manager.

·Ensuring smooth style handovers to production, providing technical knowledge to resolve garments fully.

·Supporting the management of the Design staff with regards to seasonal critical path deadlines and departmental organisation

Requirements:

·Degree level or similar

·4+ years of experience within Design at luxury positioning, knitwear experience is beneficial

·Excellent knowledge of garment construction, raw materials and components

·Organised, efficient and critical path focused

·Strong illustration and draping skills

·An understanding of Adobe Photoshop and good understanding of InDesign and Illustrator

·MS office skills

·Initiative and drive

·Team player

·Good communication skills

·Analytical and problem solving
