My client a Central London Womenswear high street woven supplier is currently recruiting for a Senior Production Coordinator. The ideal candidates must have relevant experience and have worked in a similar roles previously. Have accurate computer skills, good communication, and be able to work well as part of a team. Its essential they have absolute honesty and integrity, be diligent and with a strong work ethic. A pleasant and professional manner is a must when dealing with customers, suppliers and other members of the team, The suitable candidate has to be highly motivated and willing to progress
The role
Fabrics
- raise fabric orders (after liaising with design/sales and the production manager (PM) as appropriate) subject to lab dips and/or design strike-offs are approved
• maintain fabric order progress on the critical path (CP)
• chase for bulk lengths and batch cuttings when fabric is ready
• liaise with design/sales and submit for approval
• send bulk fabric for testing – monitor and chase
• check fabric invoices and packing lists against purchase order (PO) and advise PM of any discrepancies
• input packing lists into the design database by batch
• input related stock movement into
• assign fabric to relevant dockets as instructed by PM
• update fabric stock report
• approve fabric invoice and pass over to accounts - on excel issue detailed fabric invoices to factories and other stock locations
Trimmings
- as above although there is no input into the data base
- advise factories of relevant zips, buttons and elastic to order as necessary
Labels/Tickets
• after test report approval order care labels online
• order garment stickers
• order stock of general labels and tickets as and when necessary
- maintain and monitor stock levels of hangers and general labels
Garment Deliveries
- create booking requests for projected warehouse delivery
- after delivery approval (in receipt of MDAs) create customer delivery notes and submit
• check and approve factory invoices against relevant docket
• input related garment movements onto DWH
• chase customer for commodity codes and update DWH
• liaise with carriers and customer warehouseDockets
• liaise with design/sales and garment technologist (GT) to ensure correct garment make sheet is used for docket creation
• prepare all docket details and approve with PM - issue dockets and email to factories together with relevant fabric packing lists
Critical Path Management
• update critical path (CP) as required
• monitor CP daily and liaise with relevant teams (design, sales, garment technology)
- prepare for and attend CP meetings both in-house and with customer as necessary
Customer POs
• prepare and email CP order confirmations to customer
• chase PO once order is confirmed
• check PO and input all relevant information into DWH
- input size ratio into DWH and update relevant dockets
Fits/Sealers
• liaise with design/sales and GT in terms of priorities for sample make-up in-house
- ensure any relevant fabric /trim sampling is readily available
Intrastat
• collect together any relevant fabric, trim and/or label invoices for the monthly Intrastat declaration
- produce summary spreadsheet by commodity code and quantity
General Duties
• organise couriers and DHL/TNT etc
• prepare boxes/packages for factories, other suppliers, customers and testing houses as necessary
• send samples to customers in liaison with design/sales and GT
• general filing
• email and telephone communication
• other general duties as and when necessary
