Create has partnered with a well-known Premium brand, recognised for its legacy of individuality and authentic design, to appoint a Senior Knitwear Garment Technologist.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will play an integral role across the full product lifecycle—from initial concept through to bulk production—ensuring consistency, precision, and quality across all Men's/woman's categories.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with Design and Product Development teams from concept stage
Develop and maintain detailed technical specifications, ensuring consistency of fit and block standards
Uphold brand standards across colour, embroidery, and construction with all suppliers
Review bulk lab dips, providing clear and accurate colour approvals
Advise on construction and technical details for development packs and prototypes
Conduct fittings across all stages, influencing product decisions where necessary
Manage and maintain comprehensive tech packs with clear fit and construction feedback
Take ownership of styles from SMS through to bulk production
Approve graded size charts, fabrics, trims, and testing requirements
Conduct risk assessments on new fabrics and trims
Review lab test reports, ensuring compliance with fibre composition and regulations
Liaise with suppliers and factories to resolve technical issues and maintain timelines
Evaluate production samples and AQL reports to uphold quality standards
Support responsible sourcing initiatives and certification compliance
You will be supported by a Junior garment tech and manage 3 Garment techs
About You
Strong technical expertise in garment construction and manufacturing
Extensive experience in fittings, grading, and garment development
In-depth knowledge of both woven and jersey fabrics
Confident interpreting lab testing results and commercial data
Understanding of sustainability and responsible sourcing standards
Excellent communication skills across cross-functional teams and suppliers
Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
Proactive, detail-driven, and passionate about product excellence
Previous experience managing or mentoring junior Garment Technologists is a must
Technical Skills
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
Adobe Illustrator (preferred)
Experience with PLM and Interlink systems
Working Pattern
Hybrid model (London office and remote working)
Flexible hours with core hours of 10:00am – 4:30pm
