Create have joined with a prestigious West London company who are looking for an experienced RTW Pattern Digitiser to join their team. They are currently seeking someone to digitise patterns and amend existing digital patterns, working from development through to production including grading.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Pattern Cutters to digitise paper patterns throughout the development process

• Collaborate with the pattern cutters and machinists to identify and resolve problems with patterns, pro-actively suggesting solutions to establish best method of construction for garments

• Print and provide patterns for further development to the design team as required

• Digitise patterns from paper patterns as well as working on already existing patterns and alterations

• Communicate directly with the production team and factories on patterns (exchanging pattern, problem solving etc.)

• Build and maintain the digital pattern archive

• Maintain a high level of quality control for digital patterns

• Share knowledge and coach more junior members of the team on industry best practice and digitisation techniques

Measure Of Success:

• Pattern approval rate

• Quality of pattern construction

Qualifications, Skills, Experience Needed:

• Relevant industry experience in digital pattern making for luxury garments

• Excellent eye for detail, shape and proportion

• Technical capability and product knowledge, including experience of grading

• In depth knowledge of garment construction and pattern cutting skills

• Ability to identify problems and pro-actively find solutions

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

• Collaborative team player with strong initiative

• Flexible and adaptable, ability to manage up to 3 patterns at the same time and re-prioritise when required

• Computer skills: Lectra Modaris at least 3 years’ experience
